Mr. Hartmann studied at the "Franz
Liszt" Hochschule für Musik in Weimar from 1977 to 1982. This was followed by two
years as a teaching assistant in Weimar. He has successfully participated in various
national and international violin competitions, including the 1975 and 1980 Bach
Competitions in Leipzig and the 1982 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He concertizes
extensively as a chamber musician and as soloist throughout Germany and abroad. Mr.
Hartmann has been the first concertmaster of the MDR (Middle German
Broadcasting) Symphony-Orchestra since 1990. |
